welcøme to trench
is an art project created for the first anniversary of twenty one pilots' album 'trench' release.
all artworks were inspired by the songs appearing on the album and are connected to the lyrics assigned to them.
this project took many hours of thinking, planning and drawing to take its final shape in the form of fourteen pieces. after that, they were put all together here, and finally decided to be shared with you as a whole.

that got a bit longer than expected so if you don't want to, you don't have to read this. but I'll appreciate if you do.
I made a decision about this project spontaneously. didn't take it seriously at first, yet another flash of an idea I got and never realized. I'm actually surprised that I'm writing this after I've finished. even tho it cost me a lot of nerves, few mental breakdowns and giving it up at least 10 times, swearing I won't be doing any of these anymore, I'm proud I came to this moment. and maybe these artworks aren't the greatest ones you've ever seen, it's okay. I'm aware of it. as always there's something you would change afterwards; a new idea sparkling inside your mind just after you put down pencils, calling it a day. mistakes visible days after posting art to the socials. it's always like that, no different this time. but you know what? I won't change any of these pieces. I'll use those ideas in the future, maybe redraw something after I progress. but for now, I'll be proud of myself for surviving that crazy quest i got myself into.
I want to thank you for spending your time to look through the pieces I made. I'm grateful for all the feedback I receive, all kind words you say. You can't even imagine how much it means to me to see people actually enjoying the art on which I spend so much time and put great amount of effort into.
I also want to thank my friends who supported me through the whole process (especially alex, benn and ada). you are the best people I could have near me and I will never express how much you helped me when I struggled to find any drop of motivation throughout last few years. thank you, I love you all to the moon and back. you mean the world to me and I will never thank you enough for being there for me.
and to the amazing art group chat: you guys are the most supporting peeps out there and I'm so happy I'm a part of this little community we have created. love y'all dudes.
even tho the possibility that they'll see that is equal to zero, I want to thank tyler and josh. for creating the album that inspired this whole thing, music that helps thousands of your fans, me included, being there for us. you inspire in so many different ways and I hope there'll be much more to come. thank you for creating trench; I wasn't aware I needed that album to realize some things but it got me way closer to the band and helped me through some turbulent times, along with the rest of your music. world needs more artists like the two of you.
I hope that any of the artworks above might've inspired somebody to do something, even in the slightest. keep creating people, art is the most beautiful thing we can give to others.
and remember that there's always a reason. you will find it, no matter what.
